Valkyries to Host Conference Carolinas Volleyball Championships for First Time in History

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the Converse University volleyball team defeated Lees-McRae 3-2 and clinched a share of the Conference Carolinas Northwest Division Championship.

This is Converse’s first championship since joining the conference in 2008. The Valkyries are in one of their best seasons in program history. With the win on Tuesday evening, Converse is now 19-8 overall this season and 13-4 in Conference Carolinas action.

The following night, the Converse volleyball team clinched the fifth seed in the Conference Carolinas Volleyball Championship on Wednesday night inside the Weisiger Center but fell 3-1 to UNC Pembroke.

For the first time in Converse University history, the Valkyries will host the opening rounds of the Conference Carolinas Championships inside the Weisiger Center on Saturday, November 16, 2024. The first round will be between #8 King and #11 Barton at 11:00 a.m. The winner of that matchup will face #5 Converse at 2:00 p.m.
